In 2015, The Perth Mint celebrates 25 years of the Australian Kookaburra bullion coin series with the release of new silver bullion coins featuring the original coin design from 1990.
The coins depict an adult kookaburra sitting on a tree stump surrounded by eucalyptus leaves and a fern. A special ‘P25’ mintmark and year-date are included in the design. Each coin’s reverse features the original kookaburra coin design from 1990.
Issued as Australian legal tender, the obverse of each coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the year-date.
