The 1 oz Perth Mint Koala silver colored coin. The design of the coin is a Koala sleeping on the branch of a eucalyptus tree which leaves prvide koala's main food source.
The design also incorporates the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOALA’, the year-date and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.
The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2012 year-date, the weight and purity, and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse of each coin.
